Leather is made from animal skin, primarily cowhide that has been treated with tannin to make it durable and versatile. In general, leather is classified into full grain or top grain, corrected and split leather. Full grain leather is the best quality of leather. Corrected leather is top grain leather that has undergone processing to correct imperfections. Split leather is the fibrous part left when the top grain is separated from the hide.
At Gift Mart International we widely use full grain leather, particularly the Nappa variety. Nappa leather is chemically tanned, creating a very soft and supple texture that we use on our high quality wallets, briefcases and trolley bags.
PU Leather is the best commercial, man-made enhanced leather. It uses polyurethane layer to bind leather fibers to create a vast collection of surfaces and colors that lend its surface nicely on blind embossing, hot-stamping, or laser-engraving. We use this material as an option for competitively priced merchandise.
At Gift Mart International we only use the best PU leather called Prestige leather that is manufactured from Italy. |
